These terms are a draft for lawyer review. They are not in effect. Ugly First, a DBA of The Mindful Startup LLC (“we”) offers the Ugly First practice app to adults 18 and older.
You own what you make. You grant us a narrow, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, back up, and display a submission to you, and to export or delete it when you ask. We do not get a license to use your work in marketing, to train models, or to share it. The license ends when the account is deleted, except backup copies that rotate off within 30 days. On Camera video and audio never reach us, so that license does not cover them. We store the exercise, the length, whether the take finished, and the time.
The app is private. There is no public profile, feed, or sharing control in this version, because nothing is posted for other people to see.
You must be 18 or older. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it and refund any charge.
Unlimited is an automatically renewing subscription. The price, billing period, renewal, cancel path, and refund window are shown next to the purchase button and in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. You can cancel online from Settings → Subscription → Cancel subscription. Access continues through the period you already paid for.
Ugly First is a creative-practice tool. It is not therapy, medical care, or a clinical service. We do not read your work to look for a crisis.
Do not upload illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, content that infringes someone else’s rights, or malware. Reports go to abuse@uglyfirst.app. If we gain actual knowledge of apparent child sexual abuse material, we preserve it as the law requires, report it to NCMEC’s CyberTipline, and disable the account. Copyright notices can be sent to abuse@uglyfirst.app; a DMCA agent will be registered before launch.
The timer locks on purpose. Accommodations for extra time and pause live in Settings and do not remove the lock.
